Herston Health Precinct is home to UQ’s Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, the School of Public Health, the School of Dentistry and industry-funded research centres.
For more than half a century, UQ and Metro North have worked hand in hand on the Herston Health Precinct. The close partnership with health educators and researchers from the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine has helped shape Queensland’s medical and allied health workforce.
Combining expertise, knowledge and resources has provided the opportunity to truly embed research into the health system, to pursue new knowledge, technologies and innovation.
The Oral Health Alliance with Metro North has seen the integration of clinical service delivery and education, training the next generation of the dental workforce at the Oral Health Centre, a state-of-the-art, award-winning facility that is the largest in size and scope in Australasia.
