Oral Health Centre

The state-of-the-art Oral Health Centre is the largest oral health research and teaching facility in the Southern Hemisphere, bringing together renowned academics and researchers, leading practitioners and top tier students to deliver high quality public patient treatment and dental education.

Through the Oral Health Alliance, Metro North Hospital and Health Service and The University of Queensland (UQ) are uniting the clinical treatment capabilities of the health sector with the dental education and research capabilities of the School of Dentistry within the Oral Health Centre. More than 400 undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD candidates are supported by 160 academic, clinical and support staff.

The Oral Health Centre provides specialist services such as prosthodontics, paedodontics, orthodontics and periodontics for adults and children from throughout Queensland as well as general dentistry.
