Clinical Skills Development Service

The Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS) at Herston Health Precinct is one of the world’s largest healthcare simulation providers. With more than 3,700 simulators and 223 full bodied mannequins, CSDS is the only facility in Queensland of its kind, and is nationally and globally recognised as one of the best.

Health professionals from across Queensland receive critical medical training through the CSDS so they can deliver life-saving emergency medical assistance to their communities. The world-class facility also provides Australian Defence Force personnel with vital medical training before they’re deployed to some of the world’s worst war zones.

CSDS operates more than 100 pocket sites in hospitals throughout Queensland to support simulation training on site via videoconference.
